Overeating and Your Subconscious Mind?

   A Hypnosis weight loss program has a very high success rate because it enables you to achieve personal change at a deep level in your subconscious mind. It is the part of your mind, which governs your motivations, perceptions and beliefs.
A lot of people -- maybe you're one of them -- already know exactly what they need to do to lose weight; however, when they make up their minds to do the right things, old habits and patterns keep them from reaching their goals.
Maybe you've lost weight in the past with lots of conscious effort but, as soon as you reached your goal and stopped dieting, your subconscious mind took over again directing you to toward patterns to eat more than your body physically needed.  This program is designed to program permanent lifestyle changes that will make maintaining your weight goal automatic, without discomfort.

   If you really look at how you go through your day you'll discover that much of what you do is "automatic." You don't normally think placing one foot in front of the other while walking, you just do it. When you drive to work, you don't think about the mechanics involved in operating your car, you just do it. In fact, you'd never get anything done in life if you had to consciously think about everything you did moment to moment.

   All automatic behaviors are rooted deeply within the subconscious mind and that's precisely why you don't have to think about them. When it comes to eating and exercise habits, this mechanism can lead to weight issues.

HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

  For permanent changes in the subconscious part of your mind, you need to learn what is causing the over eating behavior that results in your unhappiness. The reasons you overeat may not be clear to you, but there are only a few major causes. Hypnosis works because we address those habits and issues at the source, in the subconscious mind, and at this level they can be modified to attain or desired goals.

   Sometimes this information is evident or well-known.  Other times it may be suppressed, buried in some incident or event of the past for which overeating provides a sense of compensation or relief from pressures or anxieties, lacks in life, grief, anger or other emotions, sometimes dating back to childhood. 
Hypnotic regression is effective in finding the initial cause of the problem. On some occasions simple understanding of causes can result in elimination of the problem; however, where undesirable weight is due to overeating, the subconscious mind must have a new program.  Changing thoughts and attitudes of the mind can lead to major changes in life. 

   There are those who are overweight due to excessive overeating, rather than the result of physiological nature. If you fall into the category of overweight overeaters, and your problem is not in your metabolic rate; it is probably in your subconscious mind and will respond well to hypnotism. It is advised to have the client see a physician to rule out medical problems before beginning a hypnosis weight reduction.

Why People Overeat

Overeating usually fills a need -- or at least is viewed as doing so. 
The possible needs, real or imaginary, are many. 
Some people overeat to compensate for an unpleasant experience. 
Others eat excessively to reward themselves, or possibly for self-entertainment. 

     SOME COMMON REASONS FOR OVEREATING:

  • Boredom, Loneliness - When You Need Love
  • Because of Fear
  • You Were Raised to "Clean Your Plate"
  • Some want to be noticed
  • To overcome frustration
  • Sometimes even to avoid sex

CONSIDER QUESTIONS AS:

~When
overeating usually takes place -- what psychological or emotional activity is associated with excess eating, and at what is the usual time of day or night?
~Where the overeating is done is important -- home, at parties, in restaurants, while watching television, etc. 
~Why
(for what purpose or to satisfy what need) is a factor in understanding the problem. 

  Awareness of the above-mentioned matters leads to the establishment of three goals:  To achieve the desired weight loss; to maintain desired weight loss once it is achieved; To adopt permanently the new habit patterns that make the first two goals possible.

PROGRAMMING FOR SUCCESS:  The Genesis program for weight reduction will involve several specific elements which are essential to the achievement of establishing objectives.

  The client's self-esteem and confidence will be fortified as necessary to achieve a positive outlook and the ability to mentally accept the perfect desired body structure, at the appropriate weight and with the physical modifications important to the client.
                                                                                                           
  The client's attitude toward food, overeating and related satisfactions will be altered to reduce the conceived importance of food as it relates to feelings of well-being.

  The client's food interests and tastes will be modified to increase the desire for healthy foods with appropriate nutrition and reduce the desire for foods high in fats and other harmful elements.  Emphasis will be placed on such matters as the amount consumed, small amounts of healthy food will satisfy the client.

  Finally, programming will deal with such behavioral matters as establishing times, places and patterns for future eating, elimination of harmful habits, and positive reinforcement for relief of stress or anxiety factors or other casual elements which may require hypnotic desensitization.             
     
Program Fees:
   The weight loss program is usually accomplished in six to eight sessions. At the conclusion of your session you may pay by one of three methods:  cash, check or credit card.

   Session length is approximately 90 minutes for the initial session and approximately 60 minutes for subsequent sessions. Good and lasting results require several sessions. Weight Loss packages are available, please call us for information.
 
What to Expect After A Hypnosis Session:
   
After your first hypnosis session you'll begin to experience a desire for healthier foods that contain fewer fats and calories.  You'll begin to establish new habits for when, where, and why you eat.  You will learn self-hypnosis to maintain the correct mental attitude, and how to program yourself using self-talk to reach your ideal weight.  You will also receive CDs for your daily use for reinforcement of your sessions.
